Previously I summarized a study on gender inequalities in graduation rates at my former college. Here’s some evidence indicating women have surpassed men in baccalaureate educational attainment utilizing a merged IPEDs and College Insight database. The following figure depicts graduation rates for men and women at public, four year institutions.
Women are clearly surpassing men in graduation rate outcomes. Let’s drill down a bit further. The next figure demonstrates women degree completion rates are uniformly
superior across the three sectors of higher education. In addition, private not-for-profit colleges exhibit the highest graduation rates for both men and women.
