U.S. Death Rates Linked to Inequality

The best available evidence suggests that higher levels of inequality in the United States lead to increased deaths over time. The influence of inequality on death is not instantaneous but occurs over time. Mortality rates increase five years after the increase in inequality, peaking after seven years, before fading after twelve.
